Project Objective
To increase the safety and throughput of jointly used airspace through automated synchronisation and conflict management between unmanned and manned air traffic.
Research & Development Tasks
- Industrial research and development work on trajectory prediction algorithms and UTM/ATM conflict detection and resolution
- System architecture and cross-domain data exchange model
- Prototype development and validation — simulations and near-operational conditions
- Compliance assessment against the U-space regulatory framework
Target Groups
Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs), U-space Service Providers (USSPs), UAS operators, airports, state and emergency services, and air traffic management system integrators.
Expected Outcomes
A validated PANKA DSS prototype ready for commercial deployment, UTM/ATM synchronisation and deconflicting algorithms, and a cross-system data exchange model.
